Lincoln Weather Update: Monday, September 28

Brrrr. We’re kicking off the work week on a chilly note. After a little light rain earlier this morning, the rest of the day will remain dry. Some clouds will hang around throughout the rest of the day. Cool and windy for the afternoon with highs only in the middle 60s. Northwest wind at 15-20 mph, gusting occasionally to 35. Clearing skies by tonight with lows falling around 40.

The breeze sticks around through mid-week. Temperatures also will rebound near average with the warmest temperatures of the week in the lower 70s. Highs fall off the rails on Thursday and Friday with highs forecast in the low 60s.

First frost Friday? Areas of frost may be possible as morning temps dip into the middle 30s. A good time to start bringing in plants for the nighttime hours! However, morning lows this week will only be in the 40s…so warm jackets will also be needed!
