Lincoln Weather Update: Saturday, October 10th
Talk about another gorgeous, summer-like day we had today. Highs were 10+ degrees warmer than normal in the upper 70s and lower 80s. Tonight skies will remain clear, with winds backing off to 5-10 mph out of the southeast. A very mild night ahead as well with lows only falling around 60 degrees.
Changes are coming but not before another very warm, and very windy day for Sunday. Wind gusts up to 40 mph will be possible throughout the day. Highs climbing into the mid to upper 80s by the afternoon. A cold front will swing through the state on Sunday, and this will bring the chance of showers and a few thunderstorms to eastern Nebraska by late evening. A slight risk of severe weather is possible with a few isolated strong to severe storms Sunday night, wind and hail being the main threat. Our rain potential is not looking great with 0.10 to 0.50 if you do get rain. But with how dry we are, we will take anything!
Temperatures tumble back near average heading into next week. Low 70s to start off the work week. We may make another run towards 80 by Wednesday before another cold front swings through and really plummets our temperatures. The end of next week well be chilly and much more fall-like with highs in the upper 50s!
