Lincoln Weather Update: Sunday, August 9th

A Heat Advisory remains in effect until 8 this evening in southeastern Nebraska. With temperatures in the low 90s and dew points in the 70s, heat indices could reach 100 to 105 degrees! However, there is a nice breeze across the area which will continue into the evening.

Clouds begin to increase this evening and overnight ahead of an advancing cold front. This front will also bring a chance of scattered showers and storms thru early Monday morning. It will still be pretty mild and muggy with temps falling around 70 degrees by tomorrow morning. The front will bring relief after the hot and humid weekend as we’ll start off the week with temperatures in the middle 80s. Scattered rain chances continue throughout Monday and Tuesday.

Near average temperatures will persist much of next week with highs forecast in the middle to upper 80s.  Scattered rain and storm chances also continue throughout the week.
