Lincoln Weather Update: Sunday, October 18th

What a difference 24 hours makes. Temperatures Sunday afternoon were 25-30 degrees COOLER than Saturday. Highs struggled to even reach the middle 40s. That cooler weather trend will be dominant heading into the upcoming week.

Tonight clouds stay in place and it will be another cold start to the morning on Monday. Lows falling around freezing in southeast Nebraska. A Freeze Warning as been issued through Monday morning for southeast and south central Nebraska, including Lincoln. However, with clouds hanging tight, that may keep temperatures from falling near or below freezing and limit frost formation. Nonetheless, if you still have plants outside, either bring them in or cover them!

Clouds hang around for the start of the week. It’ll also be a cool start with highs in the upper 40s near 50 degrees.

Cloudy skies and below average highs will dominate the forecast next week. Highs in the 40s and 50s most of the week. Thursday being the exception with highs pushing into the 60s with a chance of showers and maybe a few thunderstorms.
