Lincoln Weather Update: Thursday, July 16

Dense fog this morning will give way to mainly sunny skies this afternoon. It will be warmer and a little more humid for the day as well. Highs climbing into the upper 80s with a southerly breeze at 5-10 mph. A quiet and mild night ahead as temperatures fall around 70. There is a small chance of a shower or thundershower by Friday morning.

It gets hot and humid for the weekend. Low 90s under mainly sunny skies on Friday. Saturday will be the hottest day of the weekend. Highs in the upper 90s but when you factor in that humidity it will feel like 105-110 degrres. Please take all necessary heat precautions, take breaks in the shade or A/C and drink plenty of fluids! The heat and humidity hang on into Sunday with highs still in the 90s.

Storm chances return Sunday night into Monday with storm chances thru Wednesday. The heat also takes a back seat for the beginning of next week as highs are only forecast in the middle 80s.
