Lincoln Weather Update: Thursday, October 1

Sunny skies will stick around for today, but it will be cooler and breezy. Highs about 10 degrees below average in the lower 60s this afternoon. The northwest breeze stays in place with gusts up to 30 mph. Mainly clear skies tonight with lows falling into the middle 30s. A Frost Advisory has been issued for early tomorrow morning for areas of frost. However, we may have some high clouds move into the area overnight which would limit our cooling and reduce frost potential. Either way, I’d cover the plants just to be on the safe side. Friday remains cool and less breezy with highs in the middle 60s.

A disturbance will move through Friday night into Saturday which will bring a chance of rain into eastern Nebraska Saturday morning. The weekend will stay cool with highs in the low 60s. Warmth returns next week. Highs rebounding back into 70s throughout the week.
