Lincoln Weather Update: Tuesday, July 14

Another round of showers and storms will be likely across southeast Nebraska this evening and overnight thanks to a cold front still tracking across the area today. Partly sunny for the day, cooler but still muggy. Highs in the middle 80s with a northerly breeze at 5-10 mph. Scattered showers will be possible late afternoon and evening. The best chance for southeast Nebraska to see storms will be overnight. A few strong storms possible especially east of the Lincoln area.

Gradually clearing skies on Wednesday with a much cooler and comfortable day on tap. Highs around 80 degrees. Thursday will be mainly dry, but a little warmer with highs in the middle to upper 80s.

That heat and humidity make a comeback just in time for the weekend. Other than a few scattered storm chances on Friday, we should stay mainly dry and hot. Saturday we will be making a run toward 100 degrees. The weekend will definitely be a good pool/lake weekend!
