Lincoln Weather Update: Tuesday, July 7

Hot and steamy weather continue for today and tomorrow. Highs climbing into the low 90s, but factor in the humidity the “real feel” temperature will be pushing 100 degrees this afternoon. Northeast wind will turn southerly around 5-10 mph. Wednesday will be much of the same, mid-90s with heat index values pushing 100! Stay cool and don’t forget the shades and drink lots of water!

A decent chance of rain for the southeast moves in Wednesday as a cold front tracks across the state. Showers and storms will develop along this front as it moves into eastern Nebraska Wednesday evening thru Thursday morning. A few strong to severe storms will be possible.

Warm and humid weather continue into the weekend with a few chances of pop-up storms. Dry conditions will persist into the beginning of next week but the heat will stick around.
