Lincoln Weather Update: Tuesday, September 15

Smoke from the wildfires out west will be affecting our weather once again today. While skies will be clear with sunshine across the state, it will be covered by a blanket of haze. The good news, the smoke is pretty high in the atmosphere and shouldn’t affect air quality. Highs warming into the lower 80s with southwesterly gusts up to 25 mph. Quiet and calm conditions remain overnight. Lows fall back into the upper 50s.

Sunshine will continue the rest of the week. However, the smoke from the wildfires will still be present, leaving the haze is the sky over the next several days. Highs Wednesday in the lower 80s. A cool front will swing through Wednesday afternoon. Behind this front will be a cool air mass that will knock temperatures back into the 70s for the rest of the week.

Temps rebound in the low 80s for the weekend, but windy conditions will also be moving in as well. Small chances for rain for the start of next week.
