Lincoln Weather Update: Tuesday, September 22

Happy Fall Y’all!! The Autumn Equinox is at 8:31 this morning, signaling the official first day of fall. Night and day are nearly equal today and then those daylight hours continue to wane over the coming months.

It may be fall, but it will feel more like summer today. Highs pushing into the middle 80s with south winds at 5-15 mph. Sunny skies once again but there will still be a little haze which should continue to thin out over the next several days. Becoming partly cloudy tonight, patchy fog is possible in southeast Nebraska tomorrow morning. Lows falling back into the upper 50s.

Mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the 80s continue into Thursday. By Friday, it’ll be feeling hot with highs pushing 90 degrees!

A cold front will swing through this weekend, giving a small chance of showers on Saturday but also knocking back temperatures. Near 80 degrees on Saturday, with upper 70s by Sunday. Temps continue to cool into next week.
