Lincoln Weather Update: Wednesday, August 5

A quick thunderstorm rolled through the capital city early this morning. Lincoln managed to pick up 0.40″ of rain in the short span the storm was over the city. While the rain is gone, clouds remain through the morning but will gradually decrease thru the afternoon. Our last mild day for awhile with highs near 80 degrees. It’ll be breezy at times with south winds at 10-20 mph. There’s another small chance of a passing shower or storm overnight into early Thursday morning.

The warmth and humidity return for the second half of the week. Highs in the mid to upper 80s Thursday and Friday with the low 90s returning for the weekend. It’ll be humid as well with dew point temps soaring back into the 70s, meaning a hot and uncomfortable weekend ahead.

Small rain/storm chances remain everyday, mainly overnight events with the daytime being dry.
