Lincoln Weather Update: Wednesday, June 3

A cold front slid through overnight sparking showers and thunderstorms. Clouds are left in its wake but will begin to clear during the morning giving us another day of sun for the afternoon. It’ll be hot once again with highs near 90 degrees but less humid as a northeast breeze will allow for marginal relief on this hot day.

Another round of showers and thunderstorms will return to the area tonight into early Thursday morning. Some storms may be strong to severe with strong wind gusts and large hail as the primary threats.

The severe weather threat continues Thursday, with a more widespread threat of strong to severe storms in the afternoon and evening. Small chances for precipitation linger into the weekend but majority should remain dry.

We continue on this above average streak with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s through the weekend. The humidity will also be sticking around. However, some cooler, more normal temperatures return by next week.
