Lincoln Weather Update: Wednesday, September 16

Patchy fog is an issue this morning in some areas across southeast Nebraska. Conditions will begin to improve throughout the morning. Another issue to contend with today with be the smokey hazy from wildfires out West. Some of that smoke may reach the surface in parts of western and south central Nebraska today. Those with respiratory issues or sensitive to pollutants may have a difficult day.

A cold front will also pass through the state today. This will cause a shift in the winds from south to north, with gusts up to 25 mph this afternoon. Highs around 80 degrees. Another night of window weather with lows falling near 50 degrees.

The sunny haze sticks around the rest of the week and we will also be cooler. Highs in the middle 70s both Thursday and Friday. Rain chances are looking slim to none. An isolated shower or two Friday morning but dry conditions will prevail over much of eastern Nebraska.
