Lincoln Weather Update: Wednesday, September 2

Clear skies and light winds have contributed to foggy conditions in southeast Nebraska this morning. Improving conditions through the morning, will give way to sunny skies for Wednesday. Temperatures also jump a good 10 degrees this afternoon into the upper 80s! Clear and quiet skies overnight. While it won’t be as cool as this morning, temperatures still dip into the lower 60s.

Cold front will swing through overnight as well, in its wake leaving cooler and breezy weather for Thursday. Staying sunny, but highs top out only in the lower 80s with north winds gusting in at 25 mph. Temperatures rebound near average on Friday then highs soar into the low 90s for both Saturday and Sunday making for a hot, but dry Labor Day weekend.

The big shock comes along for Labor Day. Highs plunge into the middle 70s with rain chances increasing by Monday night. Scattered showers and storms for Tuesday with a continued drop in temperatures thru mid-week into the 60s, with lows in the 40s. Brrrr!
