Lincoln Weather Update: Wednesday, September 30

“Wind”esday is a more appropriate term to call today. A cold front moved through this morning, which will provide windy conditions and cool air for the day. Sunny skies with highs near average this afternoon in the lower 70s. Northwest wind gusts up to 35 mph possible. Wind relaxes overnight, lows falling near 40 degrees by Thursday morning.

We won’t warm up much Thursday afternoon as we’re looking at the coldest day of the week. Highs in the lower 60s with breezy conditions sticking around. Clear skies and calm winds Thursday night will allow temperatures to fall into the middle 30s. Areas of frost Friday morning are very possible. Cover plants or bring them in, just to be safe. Highs in the middle 60s for Friday.

Saturday brings our only chance of rain, but even then its a small chance of a shower in the morning. Low to middle 60s continue for the weekend. Sunny and warmer weather move in for next week as highs rebound back into the 70s!
