Lincoln woman arrested after high-speed chase on Christmas

SEWARD, Neb. (KLKN) – A Seward County officer arrested a Lincoln woman for a DUI after a high-speed chase on I-80.

On Saturday, a K-9 Sergeant from the Seward County HSI CITF-W Task Force attempted to stop a vehicle traveling 83 in a 75 mph zone.

The driver, 20-year-old, Madisen B. Hansen, failed to comply and began speeding up heading westbound on I-80. according to the Seward County Sheriff’s Office, Hansen reached speeds of 120 mph before exiting at mile marker 373.

Hansen continued to exceed speeds of over 100 mph heading northbound on 364th Road near Agnew Road. Eventually, Hansen came to a stop on 364th Road, officers then tested her BAC.

Officers determined Hansen’s BAC to be .16, being above .15, she was charged with aggravated DUI.

Officers also charged Hansen with felony operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest, willful reckless driving, operating while license suspended, among other offenses.

The Seward County Sheriff’s Office lodged Hansen at the Seward County Detention Center.
