Lincoln woman assaulted during car theft

A 29-year-old Lincoln woman is recovering after being assaulted and having her car stolen.

According to Lincoln Police, on Monday shortly after 10 p.m. the 29-year-old woman started her 2000 white Buick park avenue and went back inside her home in the 2900 block of Orchard Street.  

Police said the woman looked outside a short time later and saw an unknown man sitting in her car. 

The woman went out to confront the man, and that’s when a second man came out from behind her house and threw her to the ground.

The two suspects left in the woman’s car.

Police located the car on Tuesday, February 12 near 30th and Apple Streets. 

The investigation is ongoing.
