Lincoln woman reports being followed, shot at while driving her children home

Lincoln Police officers found six spent 9 mm casings in the area

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Lincoln woman reported being followed and then shot at while she was driving home with her children Monday afternoon, Lincoln Police say.

The victim, a 23-year-old woman, told police that she was driving near 12th and A Streets around 3:30 p.m.

She was headed home with her two children when she noticed a white sedan following her.

The woman told police that she heard gunshots before the sedan turned and sped off.

Once she returned home, the victim noticed six bullet holes in the back of her vehicle.

Officers checked the area and found six spent 9mm casings near the intersection of 12th and B Streets.

The Lincoln Police Department is still conducting an investigation of the incident.
