Lincoln’s Prescott Elementary School celebrates 100 years

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Prescott Elementary School is celebrating 100 years of educating students in Lincoln.
On Friday evening, current and former students gathered to celebrate the centennial.
Alumni from each decade spoke about what they remembered from their time at Prescott.
Prescott staff members were excited to see and hear from former students.
“It’s a special place, so it’s just fun to see lots of generations share their stories,” said Makaela Johnson, special education coordinator at Prescott. “And it just shows that Prescott has done a lot to serve this community over the last 100 years.”
In the hallways, there were posters on the history of the school.
In the library, there were tables with students’ favorite books from each decade of the school’s history.
And outside on the playground, there was a large block party with food, music and fun where people young and old could reminisce and catch up.
