Lincoln’s Rock Island Trail to be temporarily closed

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — According to Lincoln’s Parks and Recreation Department, the Rock Island Trail between Capitol Parkway and “A” Street will be closed from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. starting Tuesday, Aug. 25th through Tuesday, Sept. 8th for drainage improvement work under the Lincoln Children’s Zoo plaza bridge.

The trail will be open for evenings and on weekends. Otherwise, Parks and Rec recommends you take the Billy Wolff Trail along Capitol Parkway, and then rejoin the Rock Island Trail at “A” Street.
