Lincoln’s top game day festivities

If you haven’t figured out your game day plans yet, don’t worry. We have looked into some of the Husker activities to help you decide what to do and where to go!

Some of Lincoln’s game-day favorites, besides memorial stadium, have created long–standing traditions.

Much like the Husker Nation Pavilion, located on the track northeast of the stadium. It opens three hours before the game and has games and family–friendly entrainment.

Also a tradition, the Unity Walk. Fans gather at the east stadium to cheer on Husker players and coaches before they enter the stadium for the game.

If you don’t have tickets to the game itself, there are also plenty of places in the capital city to watch!

The railyard, one of Lincoln’s top choices, has over 10 nearby bars and restaurants to choose from as well as a massive big screen to watch the game.

Another popular tailgate, the Embassy Suites dock, where tailgaters gather before, during and after the game for food and fun.

Finally, a tradition for college students, Barry’s. Where there’s a rooftop view of the stadium and TV’s to catch all the action.

As for moms and dads, the children’s museum still has their game–day play date program if you’re looking for activities for the kiddos. The cost is 35 dollars per child for members and 45 dollars for non members per game. Parents can drop off their kids up to 90 minutes before kickoff and can pick them up at any time during the game or up to an hour after it ends.
