LLCHD reports two more COVID-19 deaths
LLCHD reported the deaths of a woman in her 60s who was hospitalized and vaccinated and a man in his 70s who was hospitalized and unvaccinated.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department reported two more COVID-19 deaths on Tuesday.
LLCHD reported the deaths of a woman in her 60s who was hospitalized and vaccinated and a man in his 70s who was hospitalized and unvaccinated. On Monday, LLCHD did not report any COVID-19 deaths.
LLCHD also reported a total of 641 lab-confirmed COVID-19 cases on Tuesday.
Local hospitals currently house 135 COVID-19 patients, 40 coming from other communities and a total of 18 on ventilators.
On Jan. 14, Health Director Pat Lopez announced a new DHM that lasts through Feb. 11. The new DHM includes a mask mandate for all individuals two and older regardless of vaccination status.

Last Wednesday, Lopez announced the COVID-19 Risk Dial will remain in the red category for the third consecutive week. The red category indicates severe risk of spread and impact in the community.
