LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A family owned bridal shop in Lincoln relocated to the other side of town amid the pandemic, the Wedding Cosign and Design store is in its new home on North 70th Street.

Cindy Manley and her daughter own the bridal consignment shop that used to be near Highway 2 and 56th Street until their lease was up. The lease ended in May, a time where the pandemic had much of Lincoln and the country closed. Although they were still open, business was down and hours were cut due to the virus.

“We had to make a decision, if we were going to be able to stay open at all or if we were going to be able to make the move to a different location” Cindy Manley said.

The mother and daughter duo made the decision to relocate the business even in the worst of times. They packed and moved their shop within one day, Cindy saying it was a crazy and stressful time.

The family has now settled into their new spot located at North 70th and and Vine Street, the shop made its debut on July 7th. The building is bigger and more dresses line the walls then previously. The shop has a whole new list of clientele and business has been very steady for the circumstances lately.

“With the return of weddings and other events, I think that we are going to be able to recover from this impact that the pandemic had on us so far” Cindy said.
