Local Lincoln grocery store hosts first egg hunt

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Open Harvest Co-op held its first annual egg hunt for Lincoln patrons on Easter Sunday.

More people across Lincoln are celebrating Easter this year since the loosening of COVID-19 restrictions, and Open Harvest is catering to them.

Wellness Coordinator Ren at Open Harvest shared how the return since COVID-19 has impacted the shopping experience.

“It’s been an interesting adjustment Mostly we’re just letting people do what they’re comfortable with within the store,” she said. “If people aren’t feeling well, we do encourage that they stay in their masks, and we’re always keeping our hands very clean, social distancing, and doing all of that. We try to create an environment that feels safe and comfortable for everyone.”

Open Harvest plans to keep the community involved while keeping in mind that the pandemic has yet to end.

Their next community event is next Sunday, April 24, and is family-friendly. People are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines while in attendance.
