Local running store gives back ‘to a family that has given so much’
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Local running store, Fleet Feet Lincoln, is starting a virtual challenge, to keep people active during the pandemic, and it’s all for a good cause.
Through September, Fleet Feet is hosting a Miles Challenge, “Miles for Team Jack” to help support the family and their foundation. This comes after Andy Hoffman, the founder of The Team Jack Foundation and father of Jack Hoffman, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. After his son Jack was diagnosed with brain cancer nine years ago, Andy dedicated his time to fighting with Jack, and now he is beginning his own fight.
“At Fleet Feet Lincoln our passion is supporting our community and making sure that we are inspiring runners and walkers alike to reach their goals and keep them moving forward. When I heard the news about Andy, I knew there was something our running community could do to give back to a family that has given so much!” stated Lori Borer, owner of Fleet Feet Lincoln. “We have set a goal to have 500 participants and raise $10,000 in donations. We would love your help!”
Fleet Feet will be donating 100% of the proceeds back to the Team Jack foundation.
