Long term weather forecast

Upperflow

A major pattern change is underway!  I’m sure i’m not the only one saying, “it’s about time”  A strong area of low pressure will dive into the west coast and in return our winds at the upper levels will pull warm air in from the south.  As it does, minor upper level “disturbances” will ride into our area giving us periodic chances of storms.  Some of those storms will be strong to possibly severe.  When the “parent” low and full trough leaves the west coast and into the northern plains, our chances of severe weather will ramp up.  Time frame on that would lean toward the 3rd week of May.  Stay tuned…..
