LPD: Officer pushed headfirst into brick wall, multiple stitches needed

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Sunday, around 4:30 pm, Lincoln Police responded to a domestic disturbance call near N 14th and Superior Streets.

When they arrived, officers found 30-year-old King Smith Booth who was wanted on an outstanding warrant for leaving the scene of an accident.

Police say Booth was argumentative when they attempted to take him into custody. He even took off his backpack and began reaching inside of it- it was later found Booth had an 8-inch bladed knife in a sheath in the bag.

A struggle ensued where Booth pushed an officer headfirst into a wall, causing a significant head injury. The officer did get stitches but is okay.

Booth arrested for his outstanding warrant and for assaulting a police officer.
