LPD: At least 7 burglaries to businesses in the last 2 days
Police are still investigating to learn if the burglaries are related or not.
From the past two nights, Lincoln Police are investigating at least seven burglaries.
Four occurred Tuesday, and three were from Wednesday morning. In all of the burglaries, no arrests have been made and no injuries were reported.
Police are investigating to find out if the burglaries are related.
Travel Lodge Hotel
Police say the bar at the Travel Lodge Hotel was burglarized early Wednesday morning. A front desk clerk reported hearing a loud noise in the bar area and saw two people inside and a broken window where they gained access to the bar on the west side.
The employee reported seeing one of the burglars swinging something around, causing $400 in damage. Police say the employee knocked on the window, which scared the burglars away.
Police say while they were investigating the burglary at the Travel Lodge Hotel, they received another call of a burglary at the Super C on 26th and Ticonderoga around 3 a.m.
Police found the front door shattered and 5 bottles of alcohol were stolen. Surveillance video shows the suspects running eastbound, but no car was seen in the video.
The Bike Rack
At 4 a.m.Wednesday, police say they received a burglary alarm at the Bike Rack on 33rd and Pioneers. A large front window of the business was broken, and a $1,800 Trek bike was stolen.
Surveillance video shows the burglars were in and out of the business in under two minutes and used a small explosive to break the window.
Police say a burglary at the 33rd and ‘O’ location happened Tuesday night around 11 p.m. A glass and metal entry door on the side of the building was broken out to gain access to the business.
Police say nothing was taken from the store, but an interior deadbolt was damaged. The deadbolt was to the door where the safe is kept.
Police say an employee at the Gamerz on 27th and Dan Ave. alerted them to a burglary after the front door was shattered and someone was inside the business.
Video shows the employee did not confront the burglars, but that things in te business were thrown and something was taken. Police say the business is still doing an inventory check to identify what was stolen.
Cloud 9 Smoke Shop
Police were alerted to a burglary at the Cloud 9 Smoke Shop after an alarm went off when the glass front door was broken to gain access. Police say $400 worth of vaping accessories were taken.
An alarm at the Quick Shop on 33rd and Holdrege alerted police to a burglary where a door window was broken to gain entry Tuesday morning around 2:15 a.m.
Police say two bottles of Svedka vodka were taken, as well as a Brisk Iced Tea and a package of Ramen Noodles.
