LPD: Call about people passed out in car leads to drug arrest

Authorities arrested a man on drug charges after receiving a call about three people who were passed out inside a vehicle.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Authorities arrested a man on drug charges after receiving a call about three people who were passed out inside a vehicle.

Around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, a Lincoln Police Public Service Officer found three people passed out inside a Jeep near 56th and A St.

When more officers arrived to wake the people up, one of them saw a plastic bag with what appeared to be meth inside it, police said.

Officers discovered it was actually 26 individually packaged pieces of meth weighing about eight grams, police said.

One of the passengers, identified as 31-year-old Ray Gordon Jr., was arrested for possession with intent to deliver.
