LPD celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month by recognizing officers and staff

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Hispanic Heritage Month begins today and Lincoln Police Department (LPD) is highlighting their Hispanic and Latino officers and staff.

LPD says representation matters at the department.

“When the people serving our community reflect those who live here, we strengthen trust, communication and connection,” LPD said.

Hispanic Heritage Month runs until Oct. 15.
