LPD: Handgun and loaded magazine stolen from vehicle

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Tuesday evening, around 5:30, Lincoln Police were called to the 1900 block of Sewell Street on a report of a stolen gun.
It was reported that a 65-year-old man was in the process of moving over the span of three weeks and left a- likely- unlocked 1991 maroon Volkswagen van outside a residence. He later found his black Remington 380 handgun and a loaded magazine, which were in the van, had been stolen. The gun was valued at 200 dollars.
The following Wednesday, around 11:30 a.m., a parks employee found a loaded handgun in Rudge Park, 1600 Lake Street. Police confirmed it was the same handgun taken from the Volkswagen van.
