A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital after a crash Wednesday evening.

The crash happened just after 7 p.m. near 10th and High St.

Lincoln police say the motorcyclist was headed south when the driver of a car was turning left onto 10th St. from High St.

“The CRV pulled out in front of the motorist and it looks like the motorcyclists laid the bike down and struck the CRV,” said Sgt. Tom Ward. “Kind of got rolled under the vehicle a bit.”

Police say a witness, who identified herself as an ICU nurse, tried to take the man’s pulse.

“He didn’t have one so she started performing CPR,” Ward said.

Police say the man was taken to the hospital in serious condition, but as of Thursday morning his injuries are not considered life threatening.
