LPD: Intoxicated teen scratches, swings at officers

Lincoln Police arrested a 19-year-old for assaulting an officer while intoxicated.

Lincoln Police arrested an intoxicated teen after she scratched and attempted to punch multiple police officers.

19-year-old Kendra Stabler was lodged in the Lancaster County Jail after police officers were called to the area of north 30th and ‘U’ streets Tuesday evening where she was found ‘heavily intoxicated.’ Police say while attempting to call a friend or family member to pick her up, Stabler began swearing and approaching officers, attempting to punch one.

Stabler continued to argue and struggle with officers as they attempted to take her into custody. During the struggle, Stabler scratched an officer on the face, leaving noticeable scratch marks.

When taken to the jail, Stabler tested .208 on a BAC breath test. She was cited for third degree assault on an officer and minor in possession of alcohol.
