Authorities are reminding Lincoln residents to lock their cars after a string of vehicle break-ins and a car was stolen early Tuesday morning.

Lincoln police officers were called around 1 a.m. to the 2200 block of Surfside Dr. where a woman reported her car had been stolen and crashed into a garage door and two other vehicles.

Officers found several other vehicles – all of which were unlocked – in the area that had been broken into, police said.
