LPD issues nearly 500 citations, warnings during traffic enforcement project

The Lincoln Police Department on Wednesday released the results of a recent traffic enforcement project.

The detail placed additional officers in 25 mph zone throughout the city from May 4 until May 22. It was funded through a grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety.

The project resulted in more than 200 speeding citations, and one warrant arrest.
