Authorities have arrested a man they say started a fire inside a Lincoln gas station during a riot last month.

Lincoln police on Monday arrested 28-year-old Tyler Maple for first-degree arson.

Security video showed Maple enter the EZ Go near 25th and O St. through a broken window, then light trash on the floor on fire and walk out, police said. Other people then came in after him and added things to the fire, police said.

Police say the fire burned for approximately five minutes before citizens tore open a case of water to extinguish it.

Estimated damage is $3,000.
