LPD: Man found, arrested for assault on girlfriend

Police found Randy Heise after he had fled the scene of the crime on January 30

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN)- At midnight on January 30, officers were called to a house for threats of assault.

A  43-year-old woman reported to police that she had been assaulted by her live-in boyfriend, Randy Heise, and fled the house to get away.

Police reported that the woman said he had threatened her with a knife, assaulted her, and wouldn’t let her leave the house. Eventually, she told the police she was able to run away and bang on the neighbor’s door to call the police.

Before police could arrive though, they say Heise left the area in a car.

On February 1, police reported finding Heise at the Travel Lodge at 1101 West Bond street where they arrested him for the use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, terroristic threats, and 3rd-degree assault.
