Lincoln, Neb. (KLKN) — An officer suffers from a head injury after arresting a man near 3001 NW 12th St, around 1 a.m. Saturday morning.
Lincoln Police report the officer saw 45-year- old Tomis Bedford near America’s Best Value Inn and knew Bedford was wanted for local charges. When the officer was arresting Bedford, the two began to struggle on the ground, and Bedford threw the officer off on his head. The Lincoln Police officer was treated and released at a local hospital for an internal head injury.
Bedford was arrested for assault on a peace officer, resisting arrest, and three outstanding warrants: two counts of robbery and felony domestic assault.
