LPD: Pickup stolen from church used in attempted ATM burglary

Authorities are investigating the attempted burglary of an ATM at a Lincoln bank. 

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Authorities are investigating the attempted burglary of an ATM at a Lincoln bank.

Lincoln Police were dispatched around 4:35 a.m. Friday to the Pinnacle Bank at 6145 Havelock to check out a burglary alarm.

When the arrived, officers saw a Ford F250 near an ATM.

The front door of the ATM had been ripped off by metal hooks connected to the truck by a strap and chain, police said.

The truck was reported stolen from Mercy City Church sometime between Thursday night and the attempted burglary.

LPD is working with Pinnacle Bank to determine how much money, if any, was stolen from the ATM.

Police say there are no suspects at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
