Herrera comes home: LPD releases official procession route for the fallen officer
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Since his passing early Monday morning, Nebraska law enforcement officials decided to bring him home. Lincoln police have since released the procession route they plan to be taking. We will be following them LIVE. Tune in to Channel 8 or visit our website for the full story.
Procession Route:
Mario will be transported to #LNK from Omaha via I-80 this afternoon. Once in town, he will be taken on I80 and enter downtown. Then, East on “K” and follow Capital Parkway to “A” and then take “A” to Butherus, Maser & Love at 4040 “A” Street.— Lincoln Police (@Lincoln_Police) September 7, 2020
POWERFUL – people are lining up on every single overpass along I-80 waiting for the police escort with Lincoln Police Ofc. Mario Herrera as they transport his body back to the capital city. Flags, honks, signs.
