LPD seeking suspect in connection to vandalism during riots

Authorities are asking for the public's help identifying a female in connection to vandalism that occurred during recent riots in Lincoln.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying a female in connection to vandalism that occurred during recent riots in Lincoln.

The Lincoln Police Department says the female (pictured) was seen on video breaking out windows to buildings with a skateboard on May 31. The suspect also spray painted a statue of President Lincoln, police said.

The Lincoln Police Department issued the following statement regarding crimes committed during the riots:

“Please contact the Lincoln Police Department if you or someone you know were the victim of a crime during the recent demonstrations in Lincoln. After reviewing video footage, we are attempting to identify anyone who was assaulted or had property damaged by the small group of individuals who assaulted or threatened demonstrators, damaged property, and started fires. It’s not too late to make a report.”
