Lincoln police are reminding the public that they will not respond to calls to check an area for fireworks.
In order for an officer to respond, a caller must provide a specific address or a description of the residence.
LPD says it is extremely difficult to respond to an area without an address.
LPD has received 295 fireworks calls in the last month – up approximately 150% from the previous two years.
Legal fireworks may be discharged on July 3 from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m. and July 4th from 8 a.m. until midnight.
