LPD: Suspect located in May armed robbery

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A suspect believed to be involved in an early May armed robbery has been taken into custody.

On May 12, around 8:45 p.m., officers with the Lincoln Police Department (LPD) responded to a robbery report in the 2200 block of Sheldon Street.

On scene, they made contact with the 22-year-old male victim who claimed he had been robbed by three males.

The victim said one had displayed a handgun and knocked his hat off of his head. The alleged robbers then demanded he empty his pockets, stealing his phone. The total loss was 300 dollars.

After canvassing the area, officers located a vehicle matching the description of the one driven by the suspects.

LPD conducted a photographic line-up, where the victim identified 18-year-old Lynn Fontaine Berry, Jr. as the alleged suspect.

Wednesday, Sept. 16, LPD contacted Fontaine Berry at the Hall of Justice around 9:30 a.m. He was then placed into custody, cited, and lodged for felony robbery.
