Authorities say a teenager was beaten and robbed in the parking lot of Lincoln East High School.

Lincoln police say the 15-year-old was going to the parking lot to meet a girl when a vehicle pulled up and someone inside called out his name.

When the teen walked over to the car, a group of males inside demanded his phone, police said. The victim refused to give up his phone and tried to run away. The males caught up to him and began punching and kicking him, police said.

The teen suffered broken bones in his face and a concussion, police said. The group also took his headphones and water bottle, according to police.
