LPD: Teens arrested for roles in drive-by shooting

Authorities say two teenagers were taken into custody for their involvement in a drive-by shooting last week.

Lincoln police officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of E Street on reports of gunshots in the area. Witnesses reported hearing the shots and seeing several vehicles take off from the area.

Investigators ultimately determined a 16-year-old boy shot at another vehicle after attempting to get the people inside the vehicle to fight, police said. A 15-year-old boy was also taken into custody for his involvement.

Both teens were lodged at the Lancaster County Youth Services Center on felony charges.
