LPD: Teens referred for tire-slashing spree

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Two teens were referred to juvenile court after an alleged tire-slashing spree.

Lincoln police say the teenage boys admitted to walking along the area of 17th and South St. to 17th and C St. and slashing tires along the way.

Both boys were referred for 10 counts of criminal mischief and left with their parent.

Police estimate the total damage to the vehicles to be $1,850.

Police are working to determine whether the vandalisms are related to other similar ones in the area over the past week.
