LPD: Woman reports being held at knife point on front porch of home
Police are searching for suspects after a woman says she was assaulted on the front porch of her home.
Lincoln Police are investigating after a woman in central Lincoln says a man pulled her hair and held a knife to her neck.
The 47-year-old, who lives near South 17th and ‘D’ streets, told police she was sitting on her front porch when a man walked up to her home. Startled by his appearance, police say the woman stood up and began walking inside.
Police say that’s when the man pulled the woman’s hair and hold what is assumed to be a knife to the victim’s neck.
The woman informed police she yelled for her brother, causing the suspect to run away.
No suspect description was provided, and no arrests have been made. Police continue to investigate.
