LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Following an update fro the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department (LLCHD), Lincoln Public Schools (LPS) will be prohibiting a type of mask.

Any face coverings with exhalation valves or vents will not be allowed in the classroom. According to the CDC, the vent allows for respiratory droplets to escape when exhaling. So, it won’t protect the person wearing it, or others, from COVID-19.
