A 17-year-old Lincoln boy has been arrested and taken to the youth detention center after the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says he robbed a home.

Sheriff Terry Wagner says it happened Wednesday afternoon near 63rd and Yankee Hill Road. Two females, aged 16 and 17, were home alone when two unknown males wearing sweatshirts, face masks and hoods entered the home through an unlocked door.

One victim told deputies she was pushed to the ground before running to another part of the home. The other victim says she was forced to the ground by one of the suspects who appeared to have a gun, according to the Sheriff.

The suspects took a safe from the home which contained jewelry, prescription medication and an iPhone.

The 17-year-old suspect was taken into custody near 70th and ‘A’ streets after the stolen iPhone was tracked using GPS.

Deputies are still working to identify the other person involved in the robbery.

No weapon has been recovered, and no one in the home was injured.
