LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – LTU will close a portion of West Holdrege Street between Northwest 48th Street and Chitwood Lane beginning on Monday, Dec. 20 for the Lincoln on the Move growth project.

Due to the street closure, people can access the residences from Northwest 27th and West O Streets.

Lincoln on the Move growth project, a six-year street investment, includes new pavement, water mains, sidewalks, Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps and a roundabout at the intersection at 48th Street and Chitwood Lane.

LTU says the project will be completed by August 2022. LTU will put up digital signs to alert traffic to upcoming road work and closures.

More information on this project can be found at streets.lincoln.ne.gov.
